An individual reported a deer killed near the border of California in an area referred to as "Buckhorn Road". The carcass had the head removed. Shortly thereafter, California received a tip that an individual had possession of a buck deer head and some meat he was trying to stored.
Based on their investigation, it was determined that the head likely belonged to the carcass discovered in Nevada. DNA testing is pending for confirmation.
